I fell in love with Carina Gardner’s Apricot & Persimmon collection the first time I saw it. I guess you could say it was “love at first sight.” After participating in a sewing class where Riley Blake Designs donated this fabulous fabric, I had some of the collection leftover. I couldn’t wait to use it in one of the 100 Skirts in 100 Days sewing series. Now to find the perfect tutorial.I found this really great A-Line Skirt Tutorial from Imagine The Possibilities. It doesn’t look like she blogs anymore, but this tutorial is fantastic. It is for a tween sized skirt, which made it even better since I am planning to donate these 100 skirts to local foster care and they need older girls clothes. That beautiful thick black stripe is so classy and I love the floral hem and waistband. I think this skirt turned out great. Whenever I make a skirt I like to think what top would go with it. This darling striped A-Line would be so cute with a black cardigan or an orange blouse. Follow my 100 Skirts in 100 Days series on instagram @beckymariedesigns.
