The 100 Skirts Project was born because of some very heavy feelings I was dealing with about 18 months ago. I just wasn’t my happy-funny self anymore and I kind of missed that person. After making some hard changes and not really knowing what to do with myself, I was scrolling through Instagram one night and came upon The 100 Day Project by Elle Luna; she issues a challenge for creatives to hone their craft for 100 straight days. I was instantly impressed by all these amazing creative people who were taking up the challenge.
The next day I was going through all my craft stuff (and giving most of it away) when a thought hit me as I began folding my never ending stash of fabric, “I LOVE TO SEW! Why am I doing anything else?” So, I got rid of everything crafty that didn’t have to do with sewing! Crazy, right?
I knew I wanted to do the 100 day project now and I wanted it to deal with sewing. So…The 100 Skirts Project was born!
I had so much fun doing the 100 skirts last year, that I decided I needed to do it again. (You can read more about that here.)
