Skirt 5 in our 100 Skirts in 100 Days project is made with pre-ruffled fabric! Pre-ruffled knit fabric used to be a big deal a couple of years ago. When it was first debuted, I bought more than I should even admit. However, making skirts on a daily basis is going to use up that section of my fabric stash very nicely. I had a small piece of pink and white ruffled fabric leftover from a project and some white elastic so I created this baby skirt. This cute little skirt is sized at 6-12 months, depending on chubbiness. Have you ever sewn with ruffled fabric? Here’s a tip: When sewing with pre-ruffled fabric, I have to remind myself to go slow and be patient…and use lots of pins. The end result is always worth it though.
